MDDr. Nima Mahdian, PhD.
Leading dentist
MDDr. Nima Mahdian, Ph.D wanted to help patients with their dental problems in his own practice, which led him to establish his dental centre, Esthesion.
Dr. Nima Mahdian is one of the leading Czech jaw surgeons. He studied at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen.
During his studies he developed a keen interest in implant research and use of 3D technology in reconstructive procedures. This interest continued during his postgraduate studies and cilminated in his Ph.D. thesis on "3D Surgery" a topic he remains passionate about this day.
After completing his studies, he joined the Department of Face and Jaw Surgery at the Dental Clinic of Children and Adults in the Faculty Hospital in Motol, as well as the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. There, he focused on surgery and issues related to developmental anomalies and injuries in pediatric patiens, as well as reconstructive procedures of their jaws.
Since 2013 he has been working in the Department of Oral, Jaw and Face Surgery at the General Teaching Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. His work involves caring for patients with facial bone diseases, oncology patients, and those undergoing complex oncological treatments. His goal is to improve the quality of life for these patients and achieve the best possible results, including the rehabilitation of their jaws.
Dr. Mahdian continues to pursue further education, actively participates in conferences, and has authored articles published both internationally and in Czech magazines. He is also proud to hold certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
