What Are Dental Implants
A dental implant is a titanium post that replaces the root of a lost tooth in the jawbone. After healing, it serves as a solid foundation for a new crown, bridge or full dental replacement. Dental implants look and function like natural teeth while preventing jawbone loss. At our clinic, we perform treatment painlessly, gently and with an individual approach to each patient.
When Are Dental Implants Suitable
Loss of a single tooth due to injury or decay
Loss of several teeth in one part of the jaw
Complete tooth loss and need for dental replacement
Unstable or uncomfortable removable denture
Unsatisfactory bridges or old crowns
Need for long-term replacement of missing teeth
How Dental Implantation Works Step by Step
1) Consultation with Dr. Mahdian including 3D examination
We assess the condition of your teeth and jawbone using CBCT scans, discuss your concerns and expectations, and recommend the most suitable implant treatment.
2) Treatment plan
Together we discuss options, select the type of dental implant and schedule the procedure at our clinic.
3) Implant placement
Gentle placement of the implant into the jawbone is performed under local anesthesia and is completely painless.
4) Healing (1–4 months)
The implant gradually fuses with the jawbone while you wear an aesthetic temporary replacement.
5) Crown placement
After healing is complete, we place the final aesthetic zirconia crown or bridge. Your dental replacement is complete.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dental Implants
Even with jawbone loss, there are solutions. At Esthesion, we perform augmentation (bone grafting), which allows dental implant placement even where it was previously not possible.
Caring for dental implants is similar to caring for your own teeth — regular brushing, interdental brushes and professional dental hygiene at our clinic. This will extend the lifespan of your dental implants.
Yes. For multiple tooth loss, we offer bridges on implants or the All-on-4 and All-on-6 methods, which replace an entire jaw using just a few dental implants.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so it is completely painless. After implantation, we recommend common analgesics and a short rest. Most of our patients rate the treatment as surprisingly calm.
The long-term success of a dental implant depends primarily on precise placement by an experienced surgeon and subsequent patient care. If the implantation is performed correctly and the patient maintains regular hygiene and check-ups, the implant can last decades, often a lifetime.
Even older age is not an obstacle for dental implants. In fact, at an older age, quality food intake and stable dentition are essential for health and comfort. The decisive factors are overall health status and jawbone quality, which we evaluate in detail using CBCT examination during the initial consultation.
